In 2009, the Student Life Network started as a"community building project" at Sheridan College's Student Union. The goal was to connect students from all walks of life on one private network and to improve engagement, communications and student life. Within the first year of launch, over 40% of students were actively connecting with each other through forums, events, clubs, organizations, and contests. We saw a surge in student engagement - online and on campus.
